Hi, I'm Tara! I'm a wife, a mom of three, and the heart behind Grant Your Wish Weddings. When I'm not chasing after my little ones, I'm helping couples plan and coordinate the wedding day of their dreams right here in Austin, Texas.

Honestly, I kind of fell into this industry after planning my own wedding. I realized just how much I loved every single detail: the timelines, the vendor coordination, the creative problem-solving, all of it. Friends and family started asking for help with their weddings, and before I knew it, Grant Your Wish Weddings was born.

If you've been planning your wedding and wondering whether you need a coordinator, you're not alone. Let's clear up the confusion.

It's not just "day of"

Despite the name, day-of coordination actually starts weeks before your wedding. Your coordinator reviews contracts, builds timelines, confirms with vendors, and creates a master plan so that by the time your wedding day arrives, every detail is handled.

Coordinator vs. Planner โ€” what's the difference?

A wedding planner helps you plan from scratch by finding venues, choosing vendors, and building a vision. A day-of coordinator takes the plan you've already built and makes sure it runs flawlessly. Think of it this way: you're the architect, and I'm the general contractor.

"But my venue has a coordinator..."

Your venue coordinator works for the venue. They manage the space, catering, and house rules. Your wedding coordinator works for you, managing your timeline, your vendors, your family, and everything in between. They're complementary roles, not the same thing.

Who needs a day-of coordinator?

How far in advance should I book?
I recommend booking 6-12 months in advance for Month-Of and Full Service Planning packages, and at least 3-4 months out for Day-Of Coordination. That said, I do accommodate shorter timelines when my schedule allows, so reach out and let's see what we can do!
What areas do you serve?
I'm based in Austin, Texas and serve the greater Austin area including the Hill Country, Dripping Springs, Wimberley, Georgetown, and Round Rock. For weddings more than 30 miles outside Austin, a travel fee may apply. Just ask!
What happens if there's an emergency on the wedding day?
That's exactly why you hire a coordinator! I always come prepared with a professional emergency kit (think: sewing supplies, stain remover, pain relievers, extra bobby pins, and more). More importantly, I've handled everything from sudden weather changes to vendor no-shows. I stay calm so you don't have to worry.
Do you work with other wedding planners or vendors?
Absolutely! I have a trusted network of Austin-area vendors I can recommend, and I work seamlessly with any vendors you've already booked. Strong vendor relationships are key to a smooth wedding day, and I pride myself on being a team player.
Can I customize a package?
Of course! Every wedding is different, and I love creating custom packages that fit your specific needs and budget. The packages listed are starting points, and we'll build something that works perfectly for you during our consultation.
What's the difference between your services and my venue coordinator?
Great question! Your venue coordinator manages the venue: the space, catering, and house rules. I manage your entire wedding: your timeline, all your vendors (not just the venue), your wedding party, and every detail in between. We work together, but our roles are very different.
Do you coordinate rehearsal dinners?
Rehearsal supervision is included in the Month-Of and Full Service Planning packages. For Day-Of clients, ceremony rehearsal can be added for $150. I strongly recommend having your coordinator at the rehearsal to ensure everyone knows their cues!
